Lecture the 2nd, the lecturing

The prof’s enthusiasm wasn’t just a first day fluke.  Today, she had as much energy and good humor. We got through the slides almost exactly on time both days. I wonder if she does a practice run to time them?   I get the impression she really wants to be teaching and wants to do a great job at it. Good for her! My wife is a teacher and I’ve seen far too many educators who have given up and just do the bare minimum. I’m sadly sure most of us have had at least one teacher like that.

I’m trying to figure out how often to answer when the professor asks the class a question. I want to participate and I always feel bad when a lecturer is met with silence, but I worry about becoming Miss Granger.

If I decide to go on with school, I think I’ll enjoy the seminar style classes. I can’t help but want to talk bugs.
